"The poets did well to conjoin music and medicine, in Apollo, because the office of medicine is but to tune the curious harp of man's body and reduce it to harmony
-Francis Bacon
As a lecturer and conference speaker on topics in mythology in music, film, and cities, Dr. Martin's current focus is the use of music in the medical field--particularly in regards to end of life issues. Drawing upon her background in mythology and depth psychology, she has been able to cultivate a discourse surrounding the therapeutic power of music in an unique and engaging way. She often speaks on the ancient connections between music and medicine, and the history of the harp and its healing properties, which date back thousands of years before the modern age.
Jeanne teaches and facilitates in the fields of music, mythology, the healing arts, and humanitarianism.
